Simply put, like everyone with a dream, David goes after it. Music has been a source of many things to him, so he has pursued music relentlessly. He has developed a style all his own and is ready to share it with the world. Through the years, David has worked with different bands, choirs and youth groups in the capacities of soloist, musician, and choir director. In the early 90’s, he played keyboards and drums alternately as well as lead vocals with the band, Zion Wave from Virginia. In the mid to late 90’s he moved to Seattle, where he played keyboards and drums in churches and youth groups. The style of that period was more geared toward alternative rock or grunge, diversifying his musical style.
In the late 90’s to the turn of the century he moved more towards contemporary and at times traditional gospel and focused more on drumming and lead vocals for various churches in New York. Opportunities to direct choirs ensued over the years, sharpening his musical and vocal arrangements. After many years of composing, writing & playing, he has successfully released his own music. He performed at various venues and stages, including jazz festivals in St.Lucia.
David formally established Reethym Productions in 2007 to promote not only his own music, but those of other artists as well. In addition, he is currently collaborating on a few projects with various artists, soon to be released. “So keep an eye out for me; you never know where I may pop up.”

His 3rd solo album “Everything Changes” was released on Sept 3rd, 2013. “This project is some of my best work. It is a coming of age, a maturity that comes with growing as a person and artist. I took extra time to perfect this one to make sure it was what I wanted in production, content, musicality & sound-wise”.  Aptly named “Everything Changes”, it is an evolution of thinking and a seasonal change to the next level. You’ll get a taste of who the real David is from these songs.
In 2015, David successfully collaborated with award winning artist & trumpeter, Sam Hankins & won the Indie Music Channel (IMC) award for Best Jazz Producer for “Tremors” featuring Sam Hankins.  This also led to the successful completion of a Christmas CD “Joyous Celebration” with Sam in 2015.
He also succeeded in reaching the 1st round of Grammy nominations for his album Reesonz in the Contemporary Instrumental category and “Pale Horse Rider” in the Best Instrumental Song category.
In 2016, David won the IMC’s award for Best Live Performance in the Easy Listening category.
To compliment his music, David is also a photographer and graphic designer which enables him to be creative in every aspect of his production from start to finish.
Currently, David is co-host of the Tony Key radio show in Dallas TX (KKEI FM) with Joyce Spencer, Jill Alexander and Sherry Davis.
“I love music and all things creative so I simply do what I love, from cooking, photography and graphics to singing, recording & composing music.  We’ve brought another chapter to this musical journey chronicling why we do what we do through music. Life is short and limitations can be overcome… Just do it!!!” davidmclorren
